Doc’s NYC Lacrosse
Mission Statement
Founded in 1996, Doc's New York City Youth Lacrosse is named for Bernard "Doc" Schoenbaum (1914-1989), a former collegiate/club player, teammate and friend who played most of his lacrosse in New York City, first with The City College of New York and then for the New York Lacrosse Club. True to his nickname, Doc had a highly successful career in dentistry, practicing for many years on 57th Street. In the world of lacrosse, he is best known for competing at the post-collegiate/club level well into his 70's. As an athlete and professional, Doc remains an inspiration to all of us.
Our Goals
· Introduce the sport of lacrosse on an organized basis to New York City youth players
· Provide a safe venue of play and develop an enthusiasm for the game.
· Teach the fundamentals of lacrosse using individual instruction, drills, and game formats.
· Teach kids about individual commitment, successful team play and good sportsmanship

Doc's Girls 7/8 2009 Team
Docs 3/4 Gold team had the opportunity to play at a Titans game here in NYC in Madison Square Garden. Everyone loved their "green" uniforms, worn to honor the Headstrong Foundation.

Doc's 2008 Alumni Game
Doc's had its third annual alumni game over Thanksgiving weekend. The players enjoyed playing on the brisk evening at Randalls Island field. The play was intense and the yellow team came from behind to win by a goal!
Lake Placid 2008

Lacrosse is not only for the kids. Coaches Levine, Farrell and Pasternak played for the High Peak's Grandmaster's and Super Grandmaster's team in Lake Placid last August.
